HUMBOLDT AWARD WINNER 2011-2013

Professor Inoue is recognized as one of the leading Japanese chemists in the area of supramolecular photochemistry.

The origin of chirality belongs to the fundamental still unsolved questions in life sciences. Professor Inoue has been involved in this research for almost three decades and made outstanding contributions in using light to control the enantioselectivity of photochemical reactions. During his stay in Germany, he intends to collaborate in the field of chiral photochemistry and photocatalysis with three active research groups in Cologne, Munich, and Bielefeld.

Prof. Inoue is hosted by Professor Griesbeck at the University of Cologne, Professor Mattay at the University of Bielefeld, and by Professor Bach at the Technical University of Munich.
